Q: What is MAVREC?
A: MAVREC is a CSA-certified touchless retrofit system for elevators. It enables gesture and voice activation of your existing buttons — no controller integration or cloud connectivity required.
Q: Do I need to replace my elevator buttons?
A: No. Your existing buttons remain fully functional. MAVREC systems operate in parallel, meaning your elevator works exactly as it does now — but with touchless controls added.
Q: Can it be installed in any elevator?
A: MAVREC is designed to work with nearly all elevator systems. We support installations in both hydraulic and traction elevators, across new and legacy systems.
Q: Is installation complicated?
A: No. Most systems can be installed in a single visit by a licensed elevator technician. No controller access is required — just button signal wiring and access to the hall station or car top.
Safety & Compliance
Q: Is it elevator code compliant?
A: Yes. MAVREC is certified to CSA B44.1 / ASME A17.5 and uses only UL/CSA recognized components. Our systems are compliant for use across North America.
Q: Is MAVREC safe to use during emergencies?
A: Yes. MAVREC’s in-car VOYCE station includes automatic disablement during Firefighter Emergency Operation (FEO) to meet code requirements.
Q: Is it secure and private?
A: Absolutely. MAVREC systems operate 100% offline. No data is recorded or transmitted, making it ideal for high-security environments like hospitals, government, and residential towers.

Q: What’s the difference between WAYVE and VOYCE?
